Freediving World Apnea Center organizes the traditional Blue Week in the wonderful and rich waters of Sharm el Sheikh in the Red Sea, from 24 April to 30 April 2023.
It will be possible to train all together in the specialties of constant weight, variable weight, static and dynamic.
It is a week open to all freediving lovers, their families and friends. There will be the possibility to dive with some of the strongest freedivers in the world.
The training field, consist of ropes from 40m to 60m and the two platforms, which are located about 100 meters from the beach of the resort, which are easily accessible by everyone without needing to use a support boat.
All participants will be able to access the training field with a buddy from 9 to 17, the use of the Lanyard is suggested on the 40m ropes, mandatory on the 50m and 60m ropes.
Moreover, in particular time slots, with the assistance of the Apnea Academy and Freediving World Instructors, all the Freediving Week participants will be able to experience the thrill of the No Limits discipline (max 60m).
On Saturday there will be the possibility to do a simulation of a competition dive on the platform with counterweight system;
The depth must be announced the previous day and the exact time of your dive will be provided (Official Top). The use of the Lanyard for this dive is mandatory. The organizer is free to limit the depths in case of doubts about the safety of the dive.
The water temperature is around 24/25 degrees with a visibility of about 30 meters
The local organization will provide to the participants weights for the belts and logistical support etc. To register for the Freediving Blue Week and for all these services, each freediver will have to pay the sum of 100 euros directly in Sharm El Sheikh before the start of the activities at the reception of the Freediving World Apnea Center.
From Monday to Saturday there will be extra workshops: Breathing, specific stretching for freediving, equalization and excursions to Ras Mohamed and in the desert (advance booking recommended).
